December 2024 we have completed our "Meaning-of-Pointing" study, headed by Tibor Tauzin. Sandra Regen and Tiziana Srdoc tested 200 children aged 10 or 14 months in order to find out how children interpret gestures of pointing at that age.
The aim of the study is to find out whether the children distinguish between the object and the location when asked to point at a certain object that has changed its position.
At the moment we are still analysing the data, but a first preliminary analysis seems to point at interesting results which we will share as soon as possible.
A big THANK YOU to all the families that have participated in our "Meaning-of-Pointing" study!
